Commemorating the late Commodore A. R. Boswell and his fondness for long
races. Sailed for by the whole fleet of the Royal Canadian Yacht Club,
annually, on time allowance, the cutter Gardenia being scratch boat. ● 1928 Gardenia ● 1929 Patricia ● 1930 Anitra ● 1931 Quest Commodore Boswell oversaw the amalgamation of the two Toronto Yacht Club's in 1989 and his last visit to the club was inn 1924 when he presented silver plaques to the winnor of the YRU Cup. In his memory was presented to the club The Boswell Trophy, raced for annually by all yachts over a "round the world" course i.e. Toronto, Oakville and Niagara. |
